
BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology Level 3
Introduction
This is a qualification that prepares you for work in today's music technology industry; a qualification that is equivalent to three A2s. It is a practical course of study that involves sound recording, synthesis, sampling and all the major skills of studio work. Music and technical tuition is from qualified and experienced staff. You will gain a qualification that prepares you for employment or higher education. It is expected that all students will take part in performances, either as performers, recording engineers or producers. The Course staff encourage and expect all students to become involved in the playing, writing and recording of music.

What Next?
Past students have done well, gaining places on a variety of higher education courses, achieving employment in the recording industry as re-mixers or technical trouble-shooters or pursuing careers as musicians. Some successful students have signed contracts with major recording companies and have had recordings released internationally.
